Savour the sense of freedom with the ability to explore Lake Wanaka at your own pace on a kayak or paddle board (SUP). Experience the crystal clear lake water up close as you paddle out into Roy’s Bay, with a stunning mountain backdrop in all directions.
With options of 1, 2 and 3 hour rentals choose your own adventure by hiring one of our kayaks or paddle boards- visit the famous wanaka tree, follow the shores to Eely Point, or go further and adventure out to Ruby Island; pack a picnic, explore the shores and relax on the island.
All hires include a paddle, life jackets, and instructions if needed. Any one of our excellent staff can give you a recommendation on where to paddle that will suit the adventure you’re looking for, your ability levels and weather forecast.

Kayak hire, Lake Wanaka
A calm experience to share with my wife, enjoying the wonderful views around the lake while gently paddling around.. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great staff

Amazing Experience
My friends and I had a great time kayaking at Lakeland Wanaka! They had done the Roy's Peak hike earlier in the day, and thus we were running a bit late, but the team was so accommodating and left our kayaks ready for us. When we got there, they looked after our belongings well, briefed us, and got us straight into the water as most of us had kayaked before. The views were absolutely stunning, and the water was so cool and refreshing. I think we will all dream of this day for years to come :)
